? 1 MILLION FOR RESEARCH TO CUT COST OF ENERGY

Over the next five years, 16 researchers from Denmark and from abroad will turn the spotlight on the offshore sector's supply chain with the goal of reducing cost of energy. This will take place through a research project at the University of Southern Denmark, SDU that has the long title 'Reducing Cost of Energy in the Offshore Wind Energy Sector through Supply Chain Innovation' (ReCoE). The project has been granted ? 1 million in support and is headed by professor of supply chain management and relation management Jan Stentoft Arlbjorn from SDU Kolding. He and his colleagues' basic idea is that the way in which companies in the supply chain operate their business must be redefined. This will place great demands on how companies collaborate, integrate with one another and share knowledge with existing and new players, he observes, and adds that there is a great need for improvements in this field.
