NIOSH creates driving safety center

Morgantown, WV - NIOSH in February launched a virtual resource center for vehicle safety research. Hosted by the NIOSH Division of Safety Research, the NIOSH Center for Motor Vehicle Safety will focus on research to prevent work-related motor vehicle injuries and fatalities. To start, the center will review the agency's current research program; identify research gaps; and consider potential risk factors for crashes and interventions based on technology, organizational and policy change, and worker education and training, according to a NIOSH press release.
