Lighter and thinner battery packs for personal digital cellular phones

In response to the current trend toward smaller and lighter cellular phones, the demand has intensified for higher capacity and smaller size battery packs. In addition to increasing capacity, this makes it important to minimize the size and weight of all battery pack components. We have succeeded in developing a battery pack that is 19% lighter than our 1997 model by minimizing each component as well as the plastic case, PCB, wiring material and insulation. As a result, the newly developed batterypack ranks in the top level of the industry for compact size and light weight.
