NIOSH addresses safety of green jobs

Washington - NIOSH and partners are developing a framework to provide guidance that will seek to apply current knowledge in occupational safety and health to "green jobs." Green jobs - defined as those that help improve the environment - are a key part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which is making large investments into the nation's infrastructure in industries that include energy, utilities, construction and manufacturing, the agency said.
