Washington - The National Governors Association in August released an issue brief detailing the methods state governments are implementing to reduce employee health care costs. According to a press release from Washington-based NGA, chronic conditions account for 75 percent of such costs. "State Employee Health Management Incentives" explores the steps many states are taking to promote healthy lifestyles, including scheduling employee health screenings, providing health coaching programs, and offering financial and other incentives.
