Bill seeks increased transparency for federal advisory committees

WASHINGTON - A House committee has referred to the full House a bill seeking to increase the transparency and accountability of federal advisory committees. More than 1,000 committees operate throughout government to provide expert advice to agencies, including the National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health and the Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health, which advise OSHA.
