IT TOOK NEARLY A DECADE TO COMPLETE, but OSHA's final rule requiring employers to cover the cost of personal protective equipment to safeguard their employees is finally on the books. OSHA issued the final rule Nov. 15 and gave employers until May 15 to implement the provisions. Under the rule, all required PPE, with some exceptions, must be provided to workers "at no cost."
