Training critical to understanding HazMat labels

OSHA's Hazard Communication standard states,"All employers with hazardous chemicals in their workplaces must have labels and Material Safety Data Sheets for their exposed workers,and train them to handle the chemicals appropriately." In other words,OSHA requires companies to accurately label all drums and containers of hazardous material in the workplace and ensure those labels are prominently displayed.
