Marubeni enters into butadiene purchase agreement with Braskem

Japanese trading house Marubeni and Brazilian petrochemical company Braskem have entered into a long-term purchase agreement of butadiene. Braskem proceeds a project for the additional production capacity of butadi- ene, and this plant construction will be completed in 2012; Marubeni handles the sales of butadiene produced by Braskem. This long-term contract amount values USD 550 million.
