Kraton completes capacity increase measures for Cariflex

Kraton has announced the completion of its multi-million dollar projects to increase capacity of its Cariflex isoprene rubber production. The company converted a plant at its manufacturing site in Belpre, OH, USA, for this purpose. This production capability replaces the capacity from the Pernis, Netherlands, facility that was closed in 2009. Kraton also completed an IR latex expansion at its plant in Brazil, which increased produc- tion by 30 %. Additionally, the company said that it anticipates a new capacity addition at its Japan facility in about two years.
