Lion Elastomers introduces new non-oil extended EPDM

Lion Elastomers has launched Royalene 515, a new non-oil extended EPDM with very high molecular weight, high diene content, and low ethylene/propylene ratio that could be used in both dense and sponge extruded profiles. The product was previously developed and field tested under the experimental designation Royalene 5151. According to the manufacturer, the high molecu- lar weight of the new material and its molecular architecture allow higher loadings of fillers and oil to lower the compound cost while maintaining the cure rate, surface appearance, and physical properties.
