Injection moulding machinery producer Engel has increased turnover in its 2012/13 financial year by 14 % to a new all-time record of EUR 950 million from EUR 834 million in 2011/12, having recovered strongly from the 2009/10 trough, when turnover had fallen to just EUR 358 million. Europe still accounts for the largest share with 65 %, followed by Asia (18 %) and America (17%). In line with the turnover development, the number of employees had dropped from 3,662 in 2008/2009 to 2,990 in 2009/10, meanwhile recovering in stages to reach 4,200 in 2012/13.
