Cervicofacial actinomycosis: most common or second most common type of actinomycosis?

To the Editor: We read with great interest the case report by Gocmen et al., introducing a cervicofacial actinomycosis (CFA) with the extraordinary thickness sinus tract. Their excellent operation was appreciable. In the abstract it was mentioned that CFA is the second most common type of actinomycosis; however in the following text it was noted that CFA is the most common type of actinomycosis. These 2 sentences as facts are paradoxically different. As far as we know, the most common type of actinomycosis is cervicofacial.
