Guidelines help manage complex standards

There is no doubt that we need a smarter way to which manage the increasing complexity of regulation and market compliance in the New Zealand horticulture industry. One of the tools available to assist us in achieving this are "National InterpretationGuidelines". These guidelines are documents that describe how GLOBALG.A.P. clauses may be interpreted in New Zealand. Used well, the guidelines may become a valuable reference for regulators, growers and auditors. The guidelines are developed in New Zealand by a National Technical Working Group and go through a process for approval by GLOBALG.A.P. Following this approval, the National Interpretation Guidelines are recognised by GLOBALG.A.P. and may also be used during GLOBALG.A.P. audits in New Zealand.
