West Coast focus on horticulture potential

A group of West Coasters is out to prpve the South Island's most isolated region has a future in horticulture. The Coastwide Growers Association was established in 2001 to encourage the growth of a horticulture industry on the coast. Peter and Val Moynihan are West Coast Horticultural Officers based at Karamea and both are members of the association. Peter says the main barrier to growing crops on the coast is perception.
