Gauss-Laguerre Beam in a Dichroic Crystal

It is demonstrated that Gauss-Laguerre beams with screw wavefront dislocations and extraordinary polarization can exist in a uniaxial dichroic crystal (i.e., a crystal with an angular dependence of linear absorption or gain). The expressions describing the dependence of the beam width and the wavefront curvature on the longitudinal coordinate are derived and analyzed.
