Multiphoton Ionization of the Degenerate Electronic State

摘要

Multiphoton ionization of the accidentally degenerate bound state is studied. It is shown that under certain conditions the degeneracy results in the anomalous angular distribution of photoelectrons and in an increase in the ionization rate. The analog of the Keldysh formula is derived for the photoionization probability of the level having intrinsic dipole moment.
