Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is a rare variant of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) that has been infrequently reported in the oral cavity. This type of lymphoma is distinct in that it carries a poorer prognosis than other forms of B-cell NHL with similar morphology. Four new cases of MCL occurring on the hard palate are presented, including two cases that were aberrantly negative for CD 5. The clinical features, histological and immunohistological features, genetics, prognosis, and treatment for this entity are reviewed along with a summary of 12 other previously reported cases of MCL occurring in the oral cavity.
