摘要

Methods of the theory of statistical solutions are used to synthesize optimum sharpness functions for adaptation of imaging optical systems. Optimum sharpness functions mean that their extreme values give adequate estimates of the maximum likelihood of virtual phase distortions. It is shown that the synthesized optimum sharpness functions with an analysis in the image plane are rather sensitive to the amount of a priori data and may be used to observe spatially bounded objects on the condition that their shape is known.
