A method for recording, storing, and reconstructing information with the help of a multiplexed three-dimensional hologram recorded with a speckle reference wave is considered. Experimental data on the study of the property of displacement selectivity of such a hologram, i.e., the dependence of the diffraction efficiency on the displacement of the hologram with respect to the reference wave, are presented. A general diagram of information recording and storing on the basis of the use of a three-dimensional displacement speckle hologram is considered. Such a hologram is shown to surpass considerably a spectrum-multiplexed three-dimensional hologram in the number of independent pixels available for information recording. The estimate of noise inherent in this type of recording showed that the limiting achievable density of information recording with the help of a three-dimensional displacement speckle hologram is bounded by the same limit as in the case of a three-dimensional hologram multiplexed by way of varying the wavelength of reference radiation.
