摘要

Analytical solutions to Yb~(3+)-doped double clad fiber ring laser have been studied using the transmission equations. The expressions of threshold pump power have been deduced under the conditions of amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) being neglected and considered, respectively. The influence of ASE to the threshold pump power has been analyzed. Some parameters, such as the division ratio of the fiber coupler and the cross-sectional area of the fiber core, etc. which affect the threshold pump power and output laser power of Yb~(3+)-doped double clad fiber ring laser have been discussed. Finally, the optimal fiber length L_(opt) at which the fiber ring laser produces the highest output laser power has been investigated.
