There is a silent hazard in the oil and gas industry,and operators are increasingly acknowledging its existence.Found throughout the earth's crust,naturally occurring radioactive material presents little exposure risk when undisturbed,but activities like oil and gas production can concentrate the radioiso-topes and move them through production infrastructure,causing health and environmental concerns.
