Explaining the ATC All Parties Core Agreement

Signed in early 2003. the Athabasca Tribal Council (ATC) All Parties Core Agreement was formulated to allow the five First Nations, industry, and governments to work together to ensure industrial development in the Athabasca oilsands region is done in an orderly fashion, while mitigating environmental and social issues and ensuring First Nations share in the benefits of development. Its intent is to help ATC First Nation members develop community capacity, identify and resolve issues stemming from industrial development, and to develop strategies to deal with outstanding issues.
