IRAQ'S OIL MINISTRY has agreed to delay its upcoming gas licensing round to 20 October from 1 October, after having asked the pre-qualified prospective bidders about their preferences. At the same time, Abdul Mahdi al-Ameedi, director-general of the Oil Ministry's Petroleum Contracts and Licensing Directorate (PCLD) said that two new companies - Italy's Eni and Japan's Mitsubishi - had paid the participation fees for the licensing round, taking the total number of participants to 13, according to Dow Jones.
