OIL SEARCH, AN international oil and gas developer, has struck gas for a second time in Yemen as drilling continues towards the well's planned depth. In a recent report in a leading daily The National, Oil Search, which is 17.6 per cent owned by the Abu Dhabi Government-owned International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC), stated that the Al Meashar-1 exploration well - in which it holds a 34 per cent interest - had found "high levels of gas" and flow testing would be conducted once the well had reached its total planned depth.
