OCLC Users Council discusses the globalization of OCLC services

At its May 19-21 meeting, the OCLC Users Council elected William Crowe and Christine Deschamps to the OCLC Board of Trustees, elected the 1996/97 Users Council Executive Committee, and discussed OCLC's international strategy and the impact OCLC's worldwide activities have on libraries. The focus of the May meeting was "The Globalization of OCLC Services." It was the last of three meetings this year marking the silver anniversary of the OCLC Online Union Catalog with the 1995/96 program theme, "25 Years and Counting: OCLC and Libraries."
