WITH AFRICA'S OIL production set to surpass North America in 2011~* this year is promising big things, not only for well-established oil nations like Nigeria and Angola, but also for emerging Ghana and Uganda, whose production is still in its infancy and whose local content directives are currently in development. We are seeing local content directives that serve to ensure that indigenous labour, suppliers and manufacturers are more frequently utilised in the oil and gas industry. Within the African countries we support, we are working with our clients to develop their capabilities without compromising quality, health, safety or environmental standards - a core focus for African countries looking to capitalise on their national oil supply.
