Nashville Hosts lOMSA's 117th Annual Convention

After a 20-year absence, lOMSA's Annual Summer Convention returned to Nashville, Tennessee, June 19-21. Day one of the convention's technical program, assembled by former IOMSA president Jake Bentley, began with a discussion of employee assistance programs (EAPs) presented by Jack Freckman, founder and president of Nashville-based Freckman & Associates. After outlining the purpose of an EAP, Freckman noted that personal problems have been shown to have a significant effect on employee performance and that most personal problems first manifest themselves in the workplace.
