Argentina's Biodiesel Industry Got 26% of Soy Output in 2010

Argentina's biodiesel industry consumed 26% of the country's soybean crop last year, according to a study conducted by local agricultural association Consorcios Regionales de Experimentation Agricola (CREA). Argentina's soy production stood at 55 million tons last year, of which 14 million tons were used for the production of 2.6 million tons of biodiesel. A total 1.1 million tons of that biodiesel was sold in the domestic market, while the other 1.5 million tons were exported.
