We have recently demonstrated that the administration of a plasmid coding forα-enolase can elicit robust immune responses in genetically engineered mice that spontaneously develop pancreatic cancer, resulting in a significant improvementof their survival. This approach provides a springboard for the elaboration ofnew forms of immunotherapy for pancreatic cancer.
