After a false alarm in June (OMI June,pl),oil prices now appear to be headed for a downturn on technical and,less so,on fundamental grounds.Crude oil markets in the US toyed with contango at the front end of the forward price curve this month,although the rest of the curve remains downward sloping.Brent futures have stayed similarly backwardated.
