US firm Murphy Oil said Monday that production has started at its Azurite field in the Mer Profonde Sud Block off Congo (Brazzaville).Azurite, discovered in 2005, is Murphy’s first operated development in West Africa. It lies in about 4,500 feet of water and uses the industry’s first floating drilling, production, storage and offloading (FDPSO) facility.
