Exxon, Kosmos Stop Pursuing Ghana Deal

Privately owned US firm Kosmos Energy raised eyebrows Wednesday with a state- ment saying its controversial agreement to sell a 23.5% stake in Ghana’s Jubilee field to Exxon Mobil has been canceled. The compa- ny will focus instead on developing the field — which is due to start producing in De- cember — and on appraising new discover- ies in Ghana.
