Chinese Crude Stocks Hit High

China's commercial and strategic inventories of crude oil rose to 39.9 million tons in August, their highest in nearly two years.The official China Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals journal said in its Oct. 1 issue that the surge was due to continued high imports and domestic output, and lower refinery runs than in July.
