Bolivia to Renationalize Electrical Firms Privatized in 1990s

Bolivia's government says it plans to renationalize three electrical utilities, which had been privatized by a previous government in the 1990s, by the end of this year. Antonio Soria Galbarro, a spokesperson for Bolivia's energy ministry, says the government has begun talks with each of the three companies - Corani, Guaracachi, and Valle Hermoso. Together, the companies generate most of Bolivia's electricity.
