Crude and oil product prices rose Monday as traders forecast strong demand for gasoline and voiced concerns about renewed violence in Nigeria. Nymex January crude futures settled at $88.81 per barrel, up 79¢, on their expiry day. More widely traded February crude rose 77¢ to end at $89.37. In London, February Brent climbed $1.07 to $92.74. Nymex January gasoline rose 6¢ to settle at $2.3778 per gallon. January heating oil was up 1.58¢, at $2.4895.
