Canadian pipeline firm Enbridge plans a C$400 million ($388 million) expansion of its Waupisoo system in northern Alberta to accommodate rising production from the oil sands. The company said on Monday that producers have committed to ship another 229,000 b/d on the system, requiring an 255,000 b/d expansion of the line, which currently handles up to 350,000 b/d of oil sands crude.
