Crude oil from Russia’s East Siberia-Pacific Ocean (Espo) pipeline is moving ever further afield, with cargoes landing on the US West Coast and making their way down into Southeast Asia. Asian refiners gave Espo a tepid reception when exports kicked off from Russia’s Pacific port of Kozmino in December. Most of the 100,000 ton cargoes have been picked up by traders, especially Russia’s Gunvor, which then sell the oil on to refiners.
