Linn Energy Names Next CEO

Linn Energy said it is promoting current president and chief operating officer, Mark Ellis, to the posts of president and chief executive, effective January 2010. Current chief executive, Michael Linn, will become the executive chairman of the board of directors and remain an officer of the company.
