Salamander Spuds Thai Well

The UK's Salamander Energy has spudded the Dao Ruang-2 appraisal well in Block L15/50 in the Khorat Basin onshore Thailand. It said the prospect is a Texaco gas discovery made in 1993 and the well is targeting mean resources of 500 Bcf. Salamander operates the block with a 50% interest, partnering Australia's Origin Energy.
