Anadarko Petroleum is considering thesale of some assets in Brazil and has retainedbankers to look for buyers, according to asource familiar with the matter.Citigroup, Morgan Stanley and Scotia Wa-terous are advising Anadarko on the possiblesale, the source said.Anadarko has a big portfolio of expensiveoffshore prospects to drill in areas includingthe Gulf of Mexico and West Africa, andcould use the proceeds of any sale of Brazil-ian assets to work on these plays.
