Anadarko US Gulf Project Delayed

A mechanical issue has prompted Anadarko Petroleum to postpone first production from its Caesar/Tonga deepwater development in the US Gulf of Mexico to early next year from mid-2011. Anadarko said the delay comes after recent pressure testing of the development's riser produced results that "precluded it from being put into service." Ticonderoga Securities said the vendor that provided the riser has apparently been fired.
