OIL, Gazprom Sign International Oil Co-operation Pact

Oil India Ltd, the second biggest PSU E&P company in the country, has signed an agreement with Russia's Gazprom for jointly scouting exploration opportunities across the globe. As per the memorandum of understanding (MoU), OIL and Gazprom plan to jointly participate in upstream oil and gas exploration and production opportunities in different parts of the world and collaborate on LNG as well. The MoU also provides the companies with the option to pursue technological association. Any area or project of common interest would also be covered under the purview of MoU, according to a statement issued by OIL.
