Nymex Crude Futures Close Lower on Huge Rise in Inventories

New York crude futures remained in positive territory for most of Wednesday but eventually closed lower. Crude traded up to a high of $41.92 per barrel, the result of strong technical support, an early rally in the equity markets and the belief that compliance with Opec production cuts will eventually be solid.
