Notes to tables

The present notes to the statistical tables are both general and note notes to the items carrying an asterisk (*). In several of the time series, there are sometimes revisions to the previous month's data. These are not footnoted. A number of countries do not publish monthly figures, or publish them only after long delays. Consequently year averages are used in several of the series for many of the monthly figures shown, or, in the current calendar year, estimates based on the previous year.
