Today,Volgaburmash owns high-capacity and the most up-to-date technical and technological base for implementing innovations into manufacturing drill bits with PDC inserts.In the process of designing drill bits and cutter heads Unigraphics bundled software has been used which allows,for the most precise production of a 3-D model,taking into account the imbalance of forces (to decrease downhole bit vibration),thus improving controllability and increasing general bit durability. The Urographics bundled software has also been employed to develop control programs for multipurpose machining units,which in its turn allows for complying with all the required geometrical parameters of a drill bit and a cutter head.
