Moving Marcellus Ethane

Excitement over the amount of natural gas to be produced in the Marcellus shale is generating increasing buzz and enthusiasm across the industry. Of the six most significant shale plays-the Barnett, Hay-nesville, Fayetteville, Woodford, Eagle Ford and Marcellus-the combined geography mass of the first five would fit into that of the Marcellus. Recent gas-supply studies indicate that the amount of recoverable gas in the shale plays will have a major impact on the nation's energy supply and ultimately could influence U.S energy policy. In fact, gas shale in the U.S. is the equivalent of the historic crude oil reserves of the Middle East.
