BluEarth Renewables' first project in Alberta is now fully operational. Located approximately 20 kilometres northeast of Provost, Alta., the Bull Creek Wind Facility's 17 wind turbines have a combined capacity of 29.2 megawatts, enough clean energy to power 10,000 average Alberta homes. The project is expected to offset approximately 80,000 tonnes/year of emissions and inject more than $15 million into the local economy over its lifespan. Alberta-based BluEarth is optimistic this is only the first successful alternative energy project it will build in the province.
