摘要

At the end of May, approximately 200 representatives from more than 30 First Nations and 50 traditional houses agreed to partner with Eagle Spirit Energy Holdings on a proposed pipeline alternative to Enbridge's contentious Northern Gateway project. "We do not like big companies coming in and giving us take-it-or-leave-it ultimatums in our traditional territories, which we have looked after for over 10,000 years," says Gixtoon (Alex Campell), a representative from the nine tribes of Lax Kw'alaams.
