Regular readers of this space will recall that I've called the industry out on more than one occasion for its inability to get out in front of its critics, especially those from environmental non-government organizations (ENGOs) who've mastered the social media platforms available to them to spread unfounded opinions, misinformation and, in many cases, outright lies, all in the furtherance of their anti-oil crusades.
